This week in class we have been learning about rocks and minerals. We learaned about the three types of rocks: sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic. Sedimentary rock is a rock made by junk under the ocean that is compacted into a rock. Igneous rock is a rock that is made by cooled lava. Metaporphic rocks are rocks that were another rock but has changed by heat and pressure under the earth.

What did you do that was fun this week?

Junior Ranger

This week at Nana's house, we took a Junior Ranger hike. What is a Junior Ranger hike? It is a hike on a certain trail where you go and find stuff. It was very fun.

After we were done with our hike, we roasted weenies on the fire. Nana cooked some baked beans to go along with our hot dogs. We also roasted some marshmallows. I did not make a s'more though. Instead, I just stuffed pieces of chocolate into the hot marshmallow. Yummy!

Next we went inside and watched "Spy Next Door" and "How to Train Your Dragon". They were both funny movies. I like them both a lot.

Then we all got ready for bed. I brushed my teeth, flossed and did my mouth wash. Then I went to bed.

On Tuesday, we got picked up by Aunt Heather. We went to a Christmas tree place and decorated a Christmas tree for a contest. After that, we went back to Nana's and started to make some chili for dinner.

Nana taught me how to play Five Crowns. It was fun.

Then Daddy and Miss Cindy came to pick me up. They joined us for dinner and then I went home.

El Gordito - The Little Fat One

This weekend, I have my class pet Gordon. He is a fat tailed gecko. That's why I call him the Little Fat One because his name is Gordon and gordo means fat in Spanish. I don't have to feed him because he stores all of his fat in his tail. Gordon can climb walls but he can get smushed easily. He loves to be on your hand. Why? Because he is a cold blooded lizard and your hand is warm. Gordon loves to travel. He is also nocturnal. Nocturnal means that an animal is most active at night. I am having fun with Gordon this weekend.

Max Jr.

This week in class we have a homework project of taking care of a bean. Now you're probably thinking why is the school making you spend money on fertilizer? If you thought that you were wrong. All Max Jr., my bean, needs is water, darkness, and warmth. Yep, that's it. Max Jr lives in a baggie. It has wet wipes in it to keep it watered and it is sealed. I have been taking Max Jr back and forth to school so I can get a good science grade. Also I am making notes about how Max Jr has changed. This week he has grown roots. I also wrote about the activities he did with me - we made clay faces in art, we watched TV in class at lunch, and took the spelling test. I have taken good care of Max Jr. and it has been fun watching him grow!

3rd grade learning

This week I have been learning about similes and homophones. Similes are words that compare with as or like. A homophone is two or three words that sound the same, have different meanings, and they are spelled differently. I hope you have a great week.

The Beach and Waves

Last week, we (Max and Mom) went to a condo in Florida. We had a balcony that was connected to three rooms! We had a perfect view of the beach.

My Mimi, Pop Pop, Jackson, Aunt Kimberly and Uncle Craig went to the beach, too. I had a great time with my family going to the Crab Trap, Fudpuckers, Fort Walton Beach and the pool. I had a great time with everyone.

Stories and Stories

This week in class we have been writing a lot of stories. I wrote one about a cat and one about what I love. Next week I am going to Florida with Mommy, Mimi, and PopPop. I'm so excited. What is your next vacation? I wonder what we are going to do there next week? I'm going to have a lot of fun!

States, States, States

This week in Science we have been learning about the Georgia regions. The regions are the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Piedmont, Coastal Plain, Okefenoke Swamp, and the Coast. In Social Studies, we've been learning about the states and landforms. I love third grade!

The 50 Nifty States

This week in class, we've been learning about the 50 states. So far, we've learned about Idaho and Utah. The capitals are Boise (Boys-see) and Salt Lake City. I think that it will probably take about two and a half months to learn about all 50 states.

P.S. I received my 1st degree black belt recommended this week. That means that I can take the test to become a black belt in Tae Kwon Do now.

Back to School

This week in class, we have been learning about the continents. The continents are North America, South America, Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and Antarctica. Some people, when they are talking about Europe and Asia, will call it Eurasia. Eurasia is probably a word that you will not find in any dictionary.

Guess what? Scientist are making a new ocean. It is is called the Southern Ocean. The Southern Ocean surrounds Antarctica and joins the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans.

Well, I guess that's it.

The Last Day of Summer

Yesterday I went on a boat with Colton and Kacy. We had to meet them at a spot on the lake. We also met Wyatt and Kenneth and our other friends. We played on a raft. I dove off of it and we pushed each other off. We did that all day. Today I'm going to the water park and I lost a tooth today.

The Last Week of Summer :(

WEEEA! It's the last week of summer. WEEEEEA! OK, let's get on with the real blog.

So this week at CAA I have been playing basketball. It was so much fun. We passed and we shot. In the morning we played mini-soccer. We swam in the pool and I did a lot of activities.

My 9th Birthday

On Friday I went to the World of Coca-Cola. I watched a 4D movie with Aunt Nancy. It was so cool. It shot stuff at you! Then we went to "Taste It". I drank a lot of different cokes. Then we went to the ball game. The home team, the Gwinnett Braves, lost but we got to watch fireworks. It was fun!

On Saturday I had a bowling party with my friends. We bowled and bowled and bowled. We ate pizza and cupcakes. I got some gifts. Then we had my party at home and my whole family came. I got a lot of gifts.
















Sunday we went to see Despicable Me. It was a great movie!

Camp All-American part 2

Thursday at CAA I learned how to tell if it's a ball or a strike. After that I went to kickball. I won! YAAAY! That is good. Then I went to lunch. After lunch I went to assembly. I was so much fun! Next we went to the pool. then I went home. I ate Chinese with Aunt Nancy.

Camp All-American

Last week I went to CAA. My counselor was named Micheal. I liked him a lot. My specialty was ropes. I did rock climbing. I climbed to the top. I went swimming. I did a zip line. I zoooooomed down the zip line. I ate pizza. I went to church and sang songs. I had an exciting weekend.

This week at CAA I learned how to catch a baseball with a glove.

Yesterday was my birthday. I had pizza and chocolate strawberries. I had a fun birthday.

The Boat II

Yesterday I went on a boat with David and Kathy for the second time this week. Danny finally got up in skiing. That was so exciting. Then he got up a second time! Now Danny is a real skier. Next I went tubing. The boat went as fast as it can but I didn't fall off. Then Danny and I went tubing. We didn't fall off. After that we ate. We hung out then we left. I had an exciting day.

The Water Park III

Yesterday, I went to Lake Lanier Islands for the second time this week. We rode the mat slide. Danny and I went flying down the slide. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Next we went to the racing slide. Danny and I finally got to the front of the line. We went down the slide whoosh! We got a bunch of water in our faces. After that we rode the Typhoon and Twister. The Twister is an inter-tube slide with a lot of curves. The Typhoon is another inter-tube slide that spins you around. Both of them have a big slide at the end. Danny and I rode the blue and yellow slides. The blue one is called the Triple Threat because it has three hills and you go really fast on it. The yellow one is called the Intimidator because it has a big drop. Next we went to the Fundunker - a water playground area. It has a big bucket of water that pours on you and water traps, water guns, and on the second floor you can pour water on the people below you. Then we rode the Raging River which is an inter-tube slide that goes really, really fast and you can spin around in it like the Typhoon.
When we got home Danny and I built a mousetrap car. It rolled pretty good on carpet. Then we tried it on the big hill in the neighborhood. But it turned too much so it didn't work very well. So it really only worked inside. That was a bummer! Then we played with our Nerf guns outside. Danny and I shot each other. It was so much fun. Then we came inside, got ready for bed and played a game of Yahtzee. Then I went to bed.

The Water Park II

On Wednesday, I went to the YMCA. I rode the water slide so many times, I can't even count. I jumped off of the diving board. I got soaked on the water slide. After that, Danny and I ate lunch. Then the cycle started again.

Then we went home. Danny and I played with R/Cs. We did lots of tricks. Then we had homemade ice cream and went to bed.

Karate Kid

Yesterday, I went to see The Karate Kid. It was a awesome. The kid did a back flip kick with a broken leg. It was so cool. We ate popcorn and we drank a soda. Then we went home. When we got home we played R-Cs. Danny and I flew all of them. We had guests over and then I went to bed.

The Water Park

Yesterday, I went to Lake Lanier Islands. Danny and I had so much fun. We rode the twister, the toilet bowl and the mat slide. Then we had lunch. Then we rode a couple other slides. We left to Kali house. I ate a hamburger, corn, and pie. Then we left.

The Boat - July 4th

Danny came to visit. He is staying for a week. We went on the boat with David and Kathy. We found a spot and hung out. I swam and then we skiied. I watched people get wiped out. Then I went on the tube. It was so much fun. Then we went home and ate pizza.

Grandma Rodgers

On Friday I went to Grandma Rodgers' house. We saw Papa Ray's RV. It was cool. Then we ate. We ate steak, broccoli, and salad. YUMMY! Then I went to bed. I woke up and I ate waffles. YUMMY! Then we left.

Niagara Falls

On Thursday, after a boring drive I arrived at Niagara Falls. Our hotel bath tub had jets. We went for a walk. Then we ate Italian. We watched the light show. In the morning, we went to see Journey Behind the Falls. It was fun and we went on the Maid of the Mist. Then we left.

What did you do today that was fun?

Boogertown

On Wednesday I went to Boogertown. But first I went to a farm. They gave us a tour to learn a little. Then Boogertown started. We had a water fight. We played games. Then we went snipe hunting. We almost caught one! Then I went to bed.

On Tuesday, I went to Hershey Park. First, I rode the Pirate Ship. Later I rode the Sooper Dooper Looper 9 times and I rode in the front row on the Comet.

The Relax Day

On Monday at PA, I went to tennis camp. We played jail. When tennis camp was over we went to the Tropical Treat. I ate 2 hot dogs. A little later I had a chocolate shake. Then in the afternoon I went to see Toy Story.

On Sunday at PA I went to Kids Kingdom which is a playground. We had so much fun!





















Then we went to Grandma Miller's. We had a big water fight, we ate, and climbed a tree. What did you do that was fun today?

Future Vacation

Tomorrow I have to do a boring drive. I have to drive 11 hours to Pennsylvania. Is that boring or what? I want to sleep all the way. I'm going to visit my cousins. It will be fun. We are going to see Toy Story 3, going to Hershey Park and camping out at Boogertown.

After Boogertown, we are going to Niagara Falls, Canada. When we leave Niagara Falls, we are going to Grandma Rodgers' house. We will see Nana and Papa Ray there. Then we have to drive 14 hours to get home. How boring but I get to do a fun stuff all week. To know what the stuff is, check out more of my blogs next week.

The Beach

Yesterday I went to the beach. I played at the ocean with the noodles. I found 2 sand dollars. It was so cool. Did you know a sand dollar is a real animal and not a shell? If you hold it too long your hand turns red. YUCK! I found one swimming on the surface of the ocean. That's really rare. I forgot to pick them up and bring them home so we will look for them again today.

Last night we went to see Shannon Tanner. He sings for children. I was the first kid to sing for him. I sang the chicken song. We did a crazy hair song but I didn't win for the craziest hair. I think I came in second. Before we saw the show we ate Mexican and I discovered something new... it was fried ice cream. It was yummy.

H.H.I

It is the first day at H.H.I. I had a blast. First I did a bike ride. It wore me out. When we were riding we stopped by the lighthouse! But we didn't go in. Because it was too hot and tall. Then we went back on our bikes. Finally we arrived at The Salty Dog Cafe. I ate a strawberry shake, sprite, a hot dog, and french fries - yummy. We went back on our bikes but it wasn't so long because we didn't we didn't stop by the lighthouse we went right to the car. Then we went home and I did some math and reading and relaxing. Now we are going to the beach!

On Monday Aida and I camped out last night. We roasted marshmallows. Then we made smores. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmy! It was all gooey. Then We whet to our tent. Then Uncial Richard scared us. I almost pooped in my pants! So we went inside.And we slept there.

On Tuesday I went to see Goats on the roof. There was a bike there. You put food in the cup and pedal. Then the goat has food. Then we went gem grubbing. I got a few emeralds and many more jewels.

Six Flags

On Sunday, I went to Six Flags with Aunt Heather, Uncle Richard, Aida, and Zach. It was so fun. I rode the Dahlonega Gold Mine Train. It was so much fun! You would slam around. I had a exciting time.

Summer Friday

Today I went to Primrose. We went on a field trip. We got to pick strawberries. Yummy! I got the juicy ones. But,there were over ripe ones. But,of course I didn't pick those. After we did that I played with my friends. Then I went outside. Ms. Cindy came to pick me up. We went to see Shrek Forever After. It was a good movie. I enjoyed it a whole lot. Then we ate Chinese. It was like a fast food restaurant because they cooked it so quickly. I was surprised because the food was healthy. Then we went home and I took a shower. And now I'm here making the blog.

The Last Day of School

Yeah! It is the last day of school. Now I am a third grader. But I gotta wait a little til I am in a third grade class.
