Back to School

This week in class, we have been learning about the continents. The continents are North America, South America, Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and Antarctica. Some people, when they are talking about Europe and Asia, will call it Eurasia. Eurasia is probably a word that you will not find in any dictionary.

Guess what? Scientist are making a new ocean. It is is called the Southern Ocean. The Southern Ocean surrounds Antarctica and joins the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans.

Well, I guess that's it.

What did you do that was fun today?

  1. Hi Max,

It sounds like your getting off to a good start in the 3rd grade. Isn't studying about the continents interesting?

Today Papa Ray and I drove to Pittsburgh, PA. We went to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and saw lots of Dinosaurs. Then we went though the Art Museum. An artist had made a sculpture from tomato cages and styrofoam balls. That was my fun today -- seeing what some people consider art!

Thanks for writing your blog. I enjoy seeing what's going on with you.

    Love,

    Nana

  2. Which continent is the largest?
Did you notice any easy way to remember them?
They all begin with an A except Europe.
